CATSHOT Hosts Group of CEO’s on Aircraft Carrier

CATSHOT returned to its roots by hosting a group of business and community leaders for a weekend on the USS Stennis – a nuclear powered aircraft carrier off the coast of San Diego. The name CATSHOT, is short for “catapult shot,” and comes from the Naval pilot’s term for launching a plane off the deck of an aircraft carrier. The visit included a flight out to the carrier with an arrested landing (known as a “trap”), meeting the Carrier Air Wing, Ship and Strike Group leadership.

“It was very impressive to see the coordination and teamwork deployed by the Navy with 5,000 people working closely together to accomplish the mission.”

– Bill Lindsay, Chair of the Board, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce

“The trip increased my appreciation for the Navy and the dedication of the entire crew. As we grow our company we plan to hire more veterans to leverage their sense of mission, teamwork and loyalty. They bring a level of commitment that has really helped our company.”

– Chris Sinclair, Chief Operating Officer, Interstate
